‘Critical Mass’ looks like a cry in the wilderness and I fear can only help to foster the ‘them and us’ attitude of some other road users. The image portrayed is inevitably of activists rather than the general public. We need an all-encompassing approach – pedestrians, equestrians, families.
not many equestrians with horses in Liverpool city centre, families think cycling is unsafe, it possibly is, but lots of continue to cycle, whats needed is better enforcement more properly segregated cycle route, and not waste lots of cash on a cycle lane that already exists down Princees park drive, just been there today, the huge cost is being used to resurface and re light the road ways a cycle lane is being used as a crowbar to get free cash from the government.
