Clare Killey died in a tragic crash in Speke involving three cars, while out riding on February 28th 2019.
Clare’s death shocked friends and family, and also deprived two young children of their mother. But just days after the incident, Clare’s daughter Annabel, 11, stunned family and friends by bravely demanding to cycle to school.
And she also came up with the idea for an awareness campaign that could keep other road users safe. The campaign – Be Aware For Clare – was launched less than a day later.
Merseyside Cycling Campaign are proud to support the family of Clare and will fight hard to make sure that incidents like this do not plague the roads of Merseyside in the future.
