22nd of April is International Earth Day. We want to show how important cycling is to us:
We are planning to be part of events that will be held all over the country, coordinated by CyclingUK and organised by local campaigning groups, like MCC.
Current thinking is to hold a mass rally at the Pier Head in Liverpool, from 11am on the 22nd of April. Please comment here or email with more ideas. We would also appreciate volunteers to help organise and promote the event.
Come on your bicycle, bring a banner or flag, or whatever you can think of, to show your love of cycling and to support our campaigning efforts.

Please note: As an attendee you take full responsibility for any travel arrangements and attend the event entirely at your own risk.
St Helens Borough Council is currently seeking views on early-stage plans for two new routes – deadline 12th August 2022: • Jubits Lane, between Sutton Manor and A57 Warrington Road. Extending routes installed in 2020, when completed this route would provide connectivity between St Helens, Marshall’s Cross, Sutton Manor, and Widnes. • Lea Green to Whiston, extending…
The Cycling Fallacies website collates all the facts and arguments about cycling for transport. If you’re a cycle campaigner, you’ll probably have come up against the same old arguments time and time again. There are many myths about cycling, which are widespread and often believed, without any basis in fact. This website is designed to…

Perhaps we can have a slow bike ride up and down the Strand a very busy road and so badly designed with to much space given over to vehicles, followed by a ride to the Crosby iron Men via the Vauxhall road with local councillors and liverpool stretscene employees and ask them why this road is in such a state, with a cycle lane that is basicly dangerous in places due to poor sight lines .

Hi Paul
It’s a good idea, but we neither have the time nor resources to organise a ride like that. If you want to organise a ride for people coming from the Wirral or along the Strand that would be fab.
Great idea! I hope to join your campaign
As you will read above this comment the Campaign received a letter of support from Councillor Walter Smith. Sadly Walter passed away shortly after this email so let us hope his legacy is that his predecessor offers his support.
