Priory Wood is on NCN 56 between St Michaels station and Riverside Gardens. How could it be improved for active travel? Deadline for survey comments 9 August.
There are also two forums to participate in on 5 and 6 August.

Priory Woods forms part of a lovely route between the Promenade and Sefton Park and has been much used by my cycling group. The barriers are the only problem and should be removed. A simple barrier parallel to the kerbs is the only safety measure necessary to stop people riding into the road.
If the barriers are removed surely that will enable motor bikes and quad bikes and even cars to gain entrance. Its bad enough that pedestrians have to share spaces with cyclists. This would make it even worse for people who are walking. Cyclists and walkers are mutually exclusive. There should be segregated cycle lanes here.
I think wheelchair users can already get through – but if not then obviously some adjustment should be made for them after consultation.
